Ocean Conservancy Regional Headquarters

Located in the A. Glenn Hill building at NDSU will be the new Ocean Conservancy Regional Headquarters. This space will be designed to make you feel as though you are close to the ocean. Employees will feel like they are underwater by having features such as a wavy ceiling, ocean like textures, and colors that represent the blue waters. Keeping to the mission of the company and their beliefs, the space will be designed as sustainable as possible. This includes having lots of areas for sorting out trash and recycling. In addition to sustainability, this workspace will be very comfortable and accommodating for the needs of all people. All walkways and doorways will be built to the ADA standards allowing for people in wheelchairs the same accessibility as others. There will also be height adjustable tables at all workstations allowing for the best comfort for all employees at any time. The workplace will be very open and welcoming allowing for workers and guest to be creative and able brainstorm all their best ideas. Even though this office is not close to the ocean, as the designer of this project, it is my job to do the best I can to make it feel like you are right on the coast.
