Acoustics and Lighting Project
Spring 2022
SketchUp, Enscape, & Adobe InDesign
This project was all about re-designing the NDSU first and second year studio space to accommodate adequate acoustical and lighting elements. Acoustics and lighting within a space provide positive well-being and productivity when working. As of right now, the studio does not provide adequate lighting or acoustics. The space is separated where only one side of the studio is provided with natural light from the windows. There is also lots of sound reverberation within the space due to all the hard surfaces on the floor, ceiling, and desks/lockers. Being a student that uses this space quite a few times out of the week, it was my job to make a change.
Scheels Design Challenge
Going into my Junior year of college (Fall 2022), I competed in the Scheels Home & Hardware Design Challenge. My teammates Erin Morris, Sara Laliberte, and I created a vignette to represent the theme classic cottage. We accomplished this by using earthy, neutral tones along with cozy furniture. Check us out, along with more information in the Midwest Nest magazine!
