Here are some images showcasing various projects I contributed to during my time at ICON. Below, I provide a brief overview of each project, highlighting my primary areas of involvement. While these represent a selection of my work, I also played a key role in many other projects not shown here.
Devils Lake Public Schools Prairie View Elementary School Addition and Renovation
This project was a significant milestone in my career as an interior designer, as it was the first project where I served as one of the lead designers. From the initial stages, I was actively involved in selecting finishes, contributing ideas for space planning, and producing detailed construction drawings. Additionally I met with the clients, reviewed specs, reviewed/approved submittals, and started to develop a furniture basis-of-design.
Dickinson High School
I played a key role in assisting with the design of Dickinson High Schools large addition. I worked closely with the head designer throughout the beginning phases of the project. My responsibilities included selecting finishes, designing custom carpets, and contributing to construction drawings when needed.
Grand Forks Public Schools Valley Middle School
For this project, my primary focus was developing the furniture basis-of-design document, ensuring cohesive and functional selections that align with the schools design and needs. Additionally, I assisted in selecting furniture finishes that were both functional and fitting for a middle schools project. As a secondary focus, I helped during the construction administration process. I reviewed a number of shops drawings and product data sheets to verify that what we had specified matched what the contractors were installing.
United Valley Bank Cavalier
This is a small-scale insurance building remodel, I assisted in selecting finishes and contributing to the construction drawings. Additionally, I was part of a team that conducted a site visit to verify measurements, and confirm that fixtures and equipment were modeled accurately. Proactively addressing potential design issues before the remodeling phase begins saves problems from arising and having to change the design intent.
UND Memorial Village
For this project, my primary responsibility was assisting with the construction punch process, thoroughly reviewing the space to identify and document any deficiencies or errors that required correction. This ensured that all design and construction elements met ICON's quality standard before project completion.
RTC Data Center
For this small shop, I was responsible for selecting finishes that aligned with the overall design, functionality of the space, and the clients company colors. Additionally, I contributed to the development of construction drawings.
